Synopsis: Writer Kosaku Igami returns to his hometown to care for his aging mother, rekindling their family bonds. Back home, they listen to his mother's innermost thoughts and communicate openly with each other. Kosaku's rebellious daughter, Kotoko, takes the initiative to act as a caregiver, starting a new life with her grandmother. As his mother's memory gradually fades, Kosaku tries his best to fulfill his filial duties, yet still feels a sense of alienation towards the hometown he left long ago. Through the companionship and support of his family, he slowly comes to understand and accept his mother, listening to her recount the family's history and true feelings.

Synopsis: Lonely and helpless, Su-mi resolves to leave this world. At this low point, she meets a nurse named Seo-jin, who invites Su-mi to help out at the hospice where she works, promising it will help her understand the ways of death. After working at the hospice, Su-mi discovers that these people nearing the end of their lives are very different from what she had imagined. They live each day with passion and cherish every moment, filling the facility with warmth and laughter. Gradually integrating into this environment, Su-mi begins to learn how to face the pain in her own life.
