Book Title: Must-Read Before Running! My First Road Running Book: From Selecting Shoes, Form Training, Protective Exercises, and Training Plans to Reaching the Finish Line
Book Description:
A bestseller with a 5-star rating from readers on Amazon Japan, this is the most suitable book for running beginners!
Everyone's reasons for taking up road running or marathons vary: some run to lose weight and stay fit, some to challenge and surpass themselves, while others simply aim to participate and enjoy the race. No matter the goal, running is truly a universal sport that benefits both physical and mental health. While encouraging everyone to join running activities, it is equally important not to overlook potential sports injuries. Even though running seems simple and accessible, it still requires thorough preparation and protection. Moving with proper running form is the only way to truly enjoy the fun it brings.
This book is written by Takeshi Aoyama, a professional running coach in Japan. A former national athlete, he transitioned into full-time coaching after retiring from competition and founded "Team Aoyama." He once coached triathlete Machiko Nakanishi, guiding her to the 2004 Athens Olympics. Currently a professional coach in triathlon, running, and cross-training, he is an instructor with immense experience. Coach Aoyama believes that "running correctly" means "running with beautiful form," which refers to a running method that avoids sports injuries while simultaneously sculpting body curves. Centered around this core philosophy, he explains running-related knowledge and key points for maintaining posture in this book. He shares customized training processes through five real-world marathon completion case studies, while teaching readers how to prevent sports injuries before they happen and how to address them if they do. Furthermore, he provides practical checklists for race days so that participants can hit the track with peace of mind and successfully cross the finish line.
