Quiet Down to Know What You Truly Want in Life

Book Title: Quiet Down to Know What You Truly Want in Life

Synopsis:

Character education is the golden key to success in life, and moral integrity is the bedrock of correct values. Learning is the crucial driver for future growth, while wisdom acts as the primary catalyst for societal progress. Educating the next generation on proper values is the only foolproof way to prevent deviant behavior.

Values and character are two sides of the same coin: values guide our choices, and those choices define who we are. This is why neuroscientists state that the mind and body operate in a continuous loop—the brain generates ideas, ideas guide actions, and once actions produce results, those results feed back to alter the brain. Every person is the sum total of their past experiences, and those experiences shape who they are today. This teaches us one vital lesson: throughout life's journey, we must frequently pause, reflect inwardly, and remind ourselves to "stay true to our original aspirations" so we do not live out our days in regret.

Quiet Down to Know What You Truly Want in Life discusses the various small matters encountered in ordinary daily life. Yet, the teachable moments hidden behind these minor incidents are often key opportunities for shaping the worldview of the next generation. In the twenty-first century, nurturing talent is a race against time. Professor Daisy L. Hung, a cognitive neuroscience expert dedicated to promoting cognitive psychology, neuroscience, and life sciences, reminds us of the critical importance of fostering proper values and character education in the younger generation. Integrity and correct values can generate an upward force for society, yielding an influence that must not be underestimated.
