◤Every emotion is a part of you; are you willing to understand the "complete self"?◢
◎ Does trying too hard to be "appropriate" make you an "emotionally dysfunctional" person?
When facing feelings of happiness, beauty, and pleasure, we can always handle them with ease and never get enough. But when facing emotions of anxiety, depression, fear, and anger, we avoid them at all costs. However, our feelings and emotions are constantly flowing and have their own spectrum. If we blindly reject and suppress certain emotions, it will instead lead to emotional dysfunction.
Over time, you become someone who cannot grieve properly, who forbids yourself from feeling insecure and anxious, and who does not know how to express anger.
◎ Every emotion is here to support you
Whether positive or negative, every emotion is neutral and innate to everyone. They also possess the ability to bring us back to our essence, establishing the closest connection with ourselves.
【Sadness】Protects you through drastic changes
Many people feel they shouldn't be sad and wish others wouldn't feel sad either. But in reality, sadness is a natural response to loss and hurt. It allows you to appropriately "shut down" and coexist with the shock after a severe trauma hits, so that you can move forward to the next stage. Only by understanding sadness can you pass through the hurt and emerge from it.
【Desire】Helps you turn the impossible into the possible
Both hope and desire can drive us forward. If the motivation brought by hope is a five, then desire is an eight to ten. Desire is a primitive energy that can lend you a helping hand. You need to be capable of being ambitious; it provides the execution and explosive power required to achieve your grand dreams.
◎ Practice expressing various emotions appropriately to become a more vivid and abundant person
This book delves deeply into ten major emotions and provides emotional practices, enabling you to know how to view, face, accept, and regulate emotions, allowing you to cry when you want to cry and laugh when you want to laugh without being emotional—
【Practicing Anxiety】
A moderate amount of anxiety helps you be on time, prepare well in advance, and become a responsible person. When anxiety becomes difficult to manage, it can be regulated through mindfulness meditation, sleep, and the 4-7-8 breathing technique.
【Practicing Anger】
Out-of-control anger places you in purgatory, but throwing a proper tantrum can bring you closer to heaven. If you don't want to be hijacked by anger, you can express the reasons and feelings of your anger clearly at that moment, helping you restore broken boundaries and achieve your desired goals.
【Practicing Fear】
Fear is the human body's warning system, allowing you to evade immediate danger. If you constantly tell yourself "don't be afraid or worried," it will instead cause your natural alarm to fail. Practice respecting your first instinct, and your body will instinctively make the best response.
This book provides various emotional practices, teaching you to become your own emotional coach. It guides you to re-examine emotions, learn to master the benefits brought by each emotion, stop being afraid of being trapped by negative emotions, help you better understand and gain insight into yourself, and comfortably walk alongside your emotions!
